Composer, conductor and pianist, educated in the Third Road Arrangement, the Manhattan College of Music, and Juilliard (on scholarship or grant); students of Frederic Jacobi, Rubin Goldmark, and Albert Stoessel. He was an associate from the Metropolitan Opera’s Children’s Chorus between 1916 and 1920 and sang in the John Barrymore creation “Richard III”. He toured the globe as accompanist to cantor Joseph Rosenblatt, and made up operettas for the Yiddish Theatre. He also made up the Broadway stage rating for “Great TO BECOME Alive” and worked well in radio as music movie director for WMGM in NY and program sponsor over WEVD in NY between 1951 and 1963. He also was the music movie director for the Marketers Broadcasting Company. Becoming a member of ASCAP in 1958, his main musical collaborators included Walter Bullock, Molly Picon, Jacob Jacobs, and Samuel Rosenbaum.
