Champ swimmer Albert Joseph Vande Weghe was created on July 28, 1916 in NY, NY. Vande Weghe gained the sterling silver medal within the men’s 100-meter backstroke on the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, Germany. Pursuing his triumph on the Olympics, Albert went to Princeton School in Princeton, NJ. While at Princeton School Vande Weghe swam for the Princeton Tigers going swimming and diving group where he swam for four years without ever dropping a university dual meet in addition to won the Country wide Collegiate Athletic Affiliate championship within the 150-backyard backstroke for three consecutive years inside a row. Furthermore, Albert was referred to as the first guy to swim the 100-backyard backstroke within a minute. After graduating from Princeton College or university having a bachelor’s level in chemical substance executive in 1940, Vande Weghe continued to operate for the DuPont Business as a chemical substance engineer for over thirty-five years. He was inducted as an Honor Swimmer in to the International Going swimming Hall of Popularity in 1990. Albert passed away at age group 86 on August 13, 2002 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
