Allen Simpson started his profession focusing on stage productions on the School of NEW YORK at Chapel Hill where he examined theater, music and mathematics. After surviving in Atlanta, GA, for some time, he transferred to LA in 1996, where he today lives along with his wife, Tracy Uses up. Allen is a composer/songwriter, audio designer/editor, voice movie director and a writer. Furthermore to employed in film and tv, Allen also creates for the stage. In 2004, Allen collaborated with close friends to make “Fellowship!,” a musical parody of J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Fellowship from the Band.” Allen proved helpful as composer and co-lyricist on “Fellowship!”, and it had been called 2005 LA Weekly’s Music of the entire year. (“Fellowship!” also gained Best Comedy Outfit and was nominated for Greatest Musical Path.) This year 2010, “Fellowship!” gained a Saturn Prize for Greatest Stage Creation: Small Movie theater. “Fellowship!” is still performed around the united states. Allen and Tracy also are operating and performance consultants for several animation studios including Pixar and DreamWorks. In addition they train at Chapman School, California College from the Arts and various other animation programs. Allen was the improv keyboardist for the “Wayne Brady & Close friends” country wide tour for 3 years. He also has for most LA-based comedy groupings like the Groundlings, Comedysportz, Theatresports, Second Town and IO Western world.
