Allison grew up 20 kilometers south of Lake Erie, in the tiny rural farming city of Edinboro, Pa. Her mom, Sandra Leichtenberger, an ER/Cardiac Treatment Charge nurse, and her dad, Edward McAtee, a instructor and later Movie director of Unique Education applications in Pa, divorced when Allison was three years old. Both of her parents later on remarried.
