Lewis Sargent was created in LA August 19, 1903. He previously 8 siblings. His dad Lewis was a carpenter, and his old trouble, Don Sargent, was a Cinematographer in Hollywood for over 40 years. He was an early on friend of Adam Wong Howe. Lewis’ ancestor, William Sargent, found America at Agawam, Massachusetts with Captain Smith in 1614. Lewis W. Sargent was the 3rd kid of Lewis and Elsa Plath Sargent. He was a kid actor in the first days of movies, you start with Aladdin and the beautiful Light fixture (1917) in 1917, until 1935 when he performed Tarzan’s side-kick in a string made by Edgar Grain Burroughs. He performed the title function in Huckleberry Finn (1920) in 1920, distributed the lead using a pet in THE DECISION from the Wilderness (1926) and performed supporting jobs in Oliver Twist (1922) and many other movies though 1929. After his acting years, Lewis proved helpful being a California State Probabtion Officer for twenty years, and spent a lot of his retirement time angling and creating angling lures. Lewis passed away November 19, 1970 while an individual on the Hollywood West Medical center and was buried at Valhalla Memorial Recreation area.
