Writer and playwright Anna Alice Chapin was created on Dec 16, 1880, in Newport, NY, to Dr. Frederick Windle Chapin and Anna Jenkins Hoppin. Chapin collaborated with Glen MacDonough in the libretto “Babes in Toyland” (1904) and was the writer of at least two books on music, “Question Stories from Wagner” (1898) and “Experts of Music: Their Lives and Functions” (1901).
