Ava Lavina Gardner was created on Dec 24, 1922 in Grabtown, NEW YORK, to Mary Elizabeth (née Baker) and Jonas Bailey Gardner. Delivered on a cigarette plantation, where she got her lifelong like of earthy vocabulary and heading barefoot, Ava was raised in the rural South.
