Bebe Moore Campbell was created in Philadelphia, Pa to George and Doris Moore. After her parents’ divorce, Campbell began sending her dad serial short tales when he transferred to NEW YORK. She later acknowledged these short tales as the start of her profession as a article writer. Because of the impact of her rigorous mother, Campbell continued to be always a direct “A” pupil at Philadelphia SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL for women and an Elementary Education graduate from the School of Pittsburgh. After college Campbell taught elementary school in Atlanta, Georgia, Pittsburgh, Pa and Washington, DC. While teaching in Atlanta, Campbell had taken a composing course from Toni Cade Bambara and was bitten with the composing insect. Campbell also proved helpful at Howard School in Washington, DC being a publicist. In 1976, Fact Magazine bought among Campbell’s short tales.
