Robert Montgomery “Bob” Knight (given birth to Oct 25, 1940) is a retired American golf ball trainer. Nicknamed “THE OVERALL”, Knight earned 902 NCAA Department I men’s university basketball games, one of the most all-time during his pension and presently second all-time, behind Pat Summitt, and behind his previous player and helper trainer Mike Krzyzewski of Duke College or university. Knight is most beneficial known as the top coach from the Indiana Hoosiers from 1971 to 2000. He also coached at Tx Tech (2001-2008) with Army (1965-1971). While in Indiana, Knight led his groups to 3 NCAA championships, a single National Invitation Competition (NIT) tournament, and 11 Big 10 Meeting championships. He received Country wide Coach of the entire year honors four moments and Big Ten Trainer of the entire year honors eight moments. In 1984, he coached the united states men’s Olympic group to a yellow metal medal, becoming among only three golf ball coaches to earn an NCAA name, NIT name, and an Olympic yellow metal medal.
