Mini Biography

Brett Neveu grew up in Iowa. He’s an ensemble person in A Crimson Orchid Theatre, an associate from the Playwrights’ Union and an alumni person in the Center Theater Group’s Playwrights’ Workshop. Brett continues to be commissioned with the Royal Court Theater, Manhattan Theatre Membership, Steppenwolf Theatre Business, The Goodman Theater, TimeLine Theatre Business, Writers’ Theater, Strawdog Theater and has many of his takes on published through Broadway Play Posting, Dramatic Posting and Nick Hern Posting. His recent theatre productions include Megacosm having a Crimson Orchid Theatre, 4 Murders with SkyPilot Theatre and twentyone with THE MEDIAL SIDE Project. Past function includes productions using the Royal Court Theater, Writers’ Theatre, THE HOME Theatre, The Hassle, The Goodman Theater, The Royal Shakespeare Business, TimeLine Theatre Business, A Crimson Orchid Theater and American Theater Company. He’s a 2012 Sundance Institute Ucross Fellow as well as the receiver of the Ofner Reward for New Function, the Emerging Designer Award through the Little league of Chicago Theatres, an AT NIGHT Award for Exceptional Musical (Aged City with Strawdog Theater Business) and is rolling out plays with businesses like the New Group, The Goodman Theater, Steppenwolf Theater, Victory Gardens and it is a resident-alum with Chicago Dramatists. His latest film productions are the pants Convo with Breakwall Photos, Leave, Clowny with JonPon Movies as well as the feature The Earl with Intermission Productions. Brett has taught composing at Northwestern School, DePaul School, Second City Schooling Middle and currently lives in LA.
