Mini Biography

A graduate from the Sheridan University Classical Animation plan, Brian spent some time working within the animation industry for days gone by 21 years. He proved helpful as an associate animator over the feature film, Rock and roll and Rule, personality designer on the initial Inspector Device series, and design musician on Ewoks and Droids, Smurfs, Flintstone Children, Laser Label and Punky Brewster. He was the design supervisor on Carebears and Teddy Ruxpin, and an animator on Y’s the Wonderful and other brief films. Brian in addition has proved helpful as an illustrator for several advertising organizations whose customers included, Kellogg’s, Nestle’s Quik, Barbie, McDonald’s, and Burger Ruler. His comic reserve personality, The Zit was highlighted within a bi-monthly comic titled, Lethargic Comics which ran from 1991 – 1996. He was also the article writer and musician for the Tex Avery type of comics released by Darkhorse Comics in 1994. He was the Co-ordinator from the Classical Animation plan at Sheridan University from 1996 – 2000. He was also an Trainer teaching Storyboarding, Layout, Personality Design, Animation, History Painting and Lifestyle Sketching from 1988 through 2000. In this same time frame he also composed new curriculum for Sheridan College, the very first year computer animation curriculum for this program at Studio Saskatoon, as well as the curriculum for the Limcockwing college in Taiwan. Brian happens to be Coordinator in addition to teaching Animation and Animation Background in the original animation program in Seneca University in Toronto which he helped to create in 2004. In 1991 he began writing some books about the various areas of animation. Up to now, he has created 8 books on the many animation procedures, including; Designing Toon Characters for Computer animation Vol. 1, Design and Design Produced Amazingly Basic, The Advanced Design and Style Workbook Layout Illustrations, Designing Cartoon Individuals for Computer animation Vol. 2 and video Computer animation: THE ESSENTIAL Concepts. These books are used at many academic institutions of computer animation across THE UNITED STATES, European countries, and Asia. His publication, The Advanced Design and Style Workbook was recently translated into Korean and adopted in to the curriculum from the animation academic institutions there. You can find further programs to translate the rest of his books into Korean, Chinese language and Japanese. He’s currently also producing, composing and animating: Storyboarding for Computer animation, The Animation Pulling Video Series.
