Chas Balun was certainly a horror fan’s horror enthusiast. Famous for his brutally blunt and profane in-your-face wildman composing design, wholehearted and unapologetic like for hardcore gruesome horror splatter movie theater, and, primarily, his brand savagely witty, sardonic, and unconventional iconoclastic perspective, Chas was a genuine cult physique of horror journalism with a solid and substantial lover following. Given birth to in 1948 in Compton, California, Balun was raised like a hippie in the 1960s in Southern California. He published his first publication “The Connoissseur’s Guideline to the Modern Horror Film” in 1983.
