Mini Biography

Rubeo wrote and directed his indie feature debut, HALE BOPP, which won Initial Prize for Ideal Screenplay on the Rhode Isle International Film Celebration, and garnered critical acclaim in the LA Situations, LA Regular, Film Risk, and Ain’t It Great Information which cheered, “Hold you eye out because of this small question.” His script Stage A made the coveted “Blacklist” and was soon optioned by Manufacturer Nicolas Tabarrok (DEFENDOR, Woody Harrelson, A Newbies Instruction TO ENDINGS, Harvey Keitel, J.K. Simmons), with Rubeo mounted on Direct. The Blacklist honor also resulted in extensive writing work, notably for the Cameron Diaz vehicle for Mosaic, and assignments for Broken Street, Pares/McDonald and Alcon. Recently, Rubeo came back to his initial love, directing, and made humor shorts featured in Crazy or Die, and it is along the way of producing two features that he programs to direct – the initial, a humor/drama known as WOOF, in regards to a hopeless man who fits a hopeful dog that transforms his center around, and the next, a Biopic known as LOVE YOU TAKE; the untold (and everything true) story from the tumultuous break up and eventual reconciliation from the Beatles.
