Mini Biography

Danny Smith was created in Montreal but moved to Pickering, Ontario at age seven. After senior high school, Danny was accepted into AMDA (American Musical and Dramatic Academy) in NEW YORK, but didn’t go, rather appearing in lots of musical theatre productions at Stage Western world in Mississauga. He continued to review and perform improvisational humor at THE NEXT Town in Toronto, one of is own teachers getting SCTV’s Joe Flaherty. This resulted in lead jobs on tv (“It’s Alive!”, “Big Wolf on Campus”) and film (“Country wide Lampoon’s Senior Trip”, “All I Wanna Carry out”, “THE BEST Strike”.) He also wrote and performed the “Big Wolf on Campus” theme tune, as well seeing that scoring some moments. In 2000, he was among eight men flown to NEW YORK to audition for Sunday Evening Live, exclusively for Lorne Michaels. Danny lives in Toronto and LA where he was the singer/songwriter/guitarist/pianist for the now-defunct rock-band The City Get (Sony Information). The music group released “Often Moving Never Halting” (2006) and “Egocentral EP”(2007) and opened up for Aerosmith, Fleetwood Macintosh, Goo Goo Dolls and Hoobastank. This year 2010, Danny appeared in Disney’s “Harriet The Spy”, “The Ron James Show” as well as the film “Suck” which received the Audience Award for Best Film in the Whistler Film Festival.
