Often cast like a discouraged loser or a bungling criminal, Dave grew up in NJ and began his acting career in senior high school at age sixteen. After graduation, he researched with Sanford Meisner at a nearby Playhouse School from the Theatre, gained a BFA at NY College or university, and quickly produced his professional stage debut in “I Hate Hamlet.” After little bit parts in film and tv, he shifted to LA and gained an MFA in performing at USC. He scored popular after starring in and co-writing the award-winning brief film THE PROPER Hook (2000), that was directed by Luke Greenfield, who continued to direct the box-office strikes THE PET (2001) and THE LADY NEARBY (2004). Dave after that starred in the low-budget feature film Docs and Robbers (2004) and in addition played the repeating part of Vito Manzi for the daytime cleaning soap opera General Medical center (1963). Frequently time for the stage, he appears in the home in both white- and blue-collar tasks.
