Rico Petrocelli was an All-Star short-stop and third baseman for the Boston Crimson Sox who anchored the infield in 1967, once the Sox won their “Out of the question Desire” pennant behind the torrid striking of teammate Carl Yastrzemski as well as the Cy Young-winning hurling of pitcher Jim Lonborg. Petrocelli was called towards the American Little league All-Star group that 12 months as short-stop, and in 1969, when he arranged the A.L. record for some home runs for any short-stop with 40.
