Bearded, heavy-set Brand-new Zealand-born figure actor having a flourishing voice, who visited England to review in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. After repertory encounter, he had significant stage appearances using the Country wide Theater Company (which he was a creator member) as well as the Mermaid Theater, invariably in Shakespearean parts. His portrayals of Balthasar in ‘Very much Ado About Nothing at all’ (1965) and Sebastian in ‘The Tempest’ (1970) had been especially well received.
