R&B vocalist Doris Troy was created Doris Payne in NEW YORK in 1937. A songwriter and a vocalist, she scored a significant strike in 1963 with “JUST ONE SINGLE Appear” (remade from the Hollies many years later on) on Atlantic Information. She toured Britain in 1964 and loved it a lot that she remained there for quite some time. After some more strikes for Atlantic, she turned to Capitol Information, then signed using the impartial Calla Records.
