Mini Biography

Dwight Vincent Babcock, notable for his scripting of low-budget horror films for the main studios’ B-units, began his composing profession in the dime pulps. He added sporadically for Dark Mask (edited with the famous Joe “Cover” Shaw, who later on became Babcock’s agent) in the 1930s before succumbing towards the allure and comparative financial balance of Hollywood. Knopf Posting released three of his mildly effective novels through the 1940s, but Babcock steadfastly rebuffed a profession like a novelist. After a recognized screen writing profession mainly spent in the B-movie horror genre, Babcock required to tv in earnest, hammering out ratings of scripts for Columbia Photos’ Display Gems department, which dominated the CBS development landscape in the first 1960s. The prolific Babcock passed away at age group 70 in 1979.
