Mississippi-born Elmore Leonard was a blues musician referred to as “The Ruler from the Slide Electric guitar”. He performed on several radio shows through the entire South and developed a pursuing. In 1951, he documented his initial record, “Dirt My Broom”, for the tiny Trumpet Information label out of Jackson, MS. It became a “sleeper” strike, breaking to the Best-10 graphs and producing him a celebrity. Leonard recorded a lot more than 100 tracks over another dozen years and helped to form what ultimately became referred to as the “Chicago Blues” audio from the postwar period. He was elected towards the Blues Basis Hall of Popularity in 1980. He died of the coronary attack in Chicago in 1963.
