Enrico Caruso (b. Errico Caruso) was created on Feb 25, 1873, in Naples, Italy. He was the 3rd of seven kids to an unhealthy alcoholic dad. He received small main education and briefly analyzed music with conductor Vicenzo Lombardini. His early income was from performing serenades. Caruso made his operatic debut about March 15, 1895 in a back road theater in Naples. After a two-year stint around the South Italian circuit he auditioned for Giacomo Puccini in the summertime of 1897.
