Francesca Bertini was undoubtedly among the first divas of movie theater, a lady not merely on display screen but also in true to life. She produced her film debut in La dea del mare (1907) and from then on producers fought on her behalf providers. In 1921 she wedded Western european nobleman and banker Alfred Cartier.
