After graduating from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Milan (Accademia dei Filodrammatici)in the first 1950s, and some experiences directing performs and operas, he was hired at RAI, in the onset of Italian television. He was consequently a pioneer of Italia tv and the 1st one to provide opera to the tiny display, in 1956, with “Madama Butterfly”, which do rise Anna Moffo towards the rank of diva in the short space of 1 night time. He was in the mean time very mixed up in theater like a movie director and maker. In the first Sixties he remaining the Italian Tv (returning occasionally for a few inaugurations, like Rai-TV Route 2, Eurovision, the brand new Naples studios) and came back to the level, directing and generating several functions by British and American playwrights, premiering several takes on and musicals. He published and created “Festa Italiana”, a colossal display with 120 performers, which broke box-office information in the Madison Square Backyard of NY. In 2005 he relocated back again to Italy, where he’s now surviving in a 16th hundred years villa near Parma. He still likes staging takes on and providing recitals in the tiny theater from the villa, periodically starting the doorways to anybody.
