Downbeat Hall of Popularity Scholarship pupil at, and Summa Cum Laude Graduate of Berklee. Anderson provides received the Excellent Achievement Prize alongside fellow alumnus Alf Clausen and was called among Berklee’s Fifty Excellent Alumnus within Berklee’s 50th Wedding anniversary celebration. In 1973 Anderson joined up with Woody Herman’s Thundering Herd and spent another five years touring as music director and key arranger because of this renowned jazz music group. After seven albums and travels with Frank Sinatra & Tony Bennett aswell shows with Joe Henderson, Charlie Mingus, Chet Baker and many more, Anderson made a decision to settle in to the New York picture and soon discovered his niche being a studio room arranger, orchestrator and composer for tv, film as well as the Broadway stage. Since the later 1970s Anderson has written for Network and CABLE, Documentaries, Telefilms & Dramatic Series, Feature Films, Broadway, Off Broadway and Radio City Music Hall aswell as hundreds of commercials and albums. He joined many world tours like a performer or music movie director, including Woody Herman’s Thundering Herd, Charles Mingus, Joe Henderson, Stevie Question, Diana Ross, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Gerry Mulligan, and Chet Baker.
