Broadly popular comedienne appeared in a few movies and about radio in the 40s and about early television. She starred in the favorite tv series, I Wedded Joan (1952), with Jim Backus as her spouse and her real-life child, Beverly Wills as her sister. Joan died of an abrupt coronary attack in 1961. 2 yrs later on, a open fire tragically stated the lives of her mom, child and two grandsons.
