The daughter of the Chinese diplomat and a German woman, she had some cachet as an “exotic” starlet in the 50s and 60s. Sadly, she appears to have dropped out to additional Asian stars of reduced pulchritude and skill for major tasks, and made an appearance in assisting parts in lower spending budget U.S. and international movies. She turned in a compelling, yet believable performance in her just known starring function, Fall Gal (1961) with John Agar, an nearly forgotten little movie using a grim, depressing story. Probably she was as well organic and unaffected for the bigger studios, not appropriate their cutesy, predetermined caricatures for Asian stars. After some Television performances, and announcing gigs for documentaries, she appears to have dropped from the map with the late 70s.
