Getting into the Merchant Marine on the tender age group of 15, Harry travelled around the world, before signing up for the U.S. Lighthouse Assistance in 1936. Often an avid professional photographer, Stites was designated to a Joint Servie Order from the Armed Forces beneath the aegis from the U. S Coastline Guard, being a field professional photographer. It was during this time period, that Harry started working in movies for the military, in techincal factors, mainly as an assitant movie director and editor of schooling films. During this time period, Harry was occasionaly loaned out for some from the main studios as the consultant, technical consultant or editor on photos coping with the maritime solutions. Retiring from your armed service in 1966, Stites published, produced, aimed and edited commercial training movies for main corporations. Harry, right now retired resides in Tracy, California along with his wife Dianne.
