A local of Ningbo in Zhejiang province, Shanghai given birth to Chiang Hsing Lung is a pioneer of Hong Kong film in lots of respects where he was groomed from the legendary Nanyang Film studio’s leader Wang Sun-Fu in the methods of film editing and enhancing, cutting & printing advancement for prestige Mandarin dialect movies soon after arriving in the isle colony in 1948. After his junior apprenticeship, Chiang remaining Nanyang to become listed on Shaw Brothers in 1956 where he notably used his craft 1st working with movie director Li Han Hsiang in ‘Daiu Charn’ in 1958 where Chiang brought house an editing honor in the 5th annual Asian Film Event, the 1st Hong Kong centered editor to ever contain the distinction. He’d do it again these honors for movie director Li again the next year bringing house his second editing award for ‘The Kingdom as well as the Beauty’. These early milestones would make Chiang his career-long tenure using the Shaw Corporation editing literally a huge selection of game titles and mentoring a complete new era of up-and-coming editors who take the art to new levels in to the Cantonese dialect dominated movie theater from the Hong Kong New Influx.
