Irina Gubanova was a Russian ballerina and film celebrity referred to as Elsa in The Snow Queen (1967) and Sonya in Battle and Serenity (1966). She was created Irina Igorevna Gubanova on March 3, 1940, in Leningrad, Russia (now, St. Petersburg, Russia). From 1950 to 1957 she analyzed classical ballet in the Leningrad Ballet Academy under Agrippina Vaganova, graduating in 1957 as ballerina. Through the 1950s Gubanova produced several looks in ballet productions from the Kirov Ballet. Nevertheless, she swapped the stage for celluloid and became personnel celebrity at Lenfilm Studio room in Leningrad. In 1959 Gubanova produced her film debut as Polina in Pikovaya dama (1960). Through the 1960s she performed beautiful young ladies in such movies as 713 prosit posadku (1962) by movie director Grigori Nikulin, Pervyy trolleybus (1964) by movie director Isidor Annensky, and _Snegurochka_ (1969). In those days, Gubanova also received worldwide recognition using the part as Sonya in Battle and Serenity (1966) by movie director Sergey Bondarchuk. Gubanova was briefly married to popular Russian acting professional Sergei Gurzo, as well as the relationship produced one child. Through the 1970s she relocated to Moscow. From 1978 to 2000 she was an associate from the Moscow Theater of Film Stars (Kinoaktera). She passed away on Apr 15, 2000, in Moscow, Russia.
