Jack port Greenberg was a civil legal rights attorney and educator; a U.S. Navy experienced of World Battle II and a graduate of Columbia University or college Law College in NEW YORK, in 1949, he was the 1st Caucasian attorney employed to function for the Legal Protection Fund from the Country wide Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP). He’d stay on personnel until 1984 (after 1961, he was the director-counsel from the Legal Protection Account), when he approved a professorship at his alma mater, Columbia. During his stint using the NAACP, Greenberg participated in the planning of several landmark civil privileges instances, including (however, not limited by) Dark brown v. Table of Education of Topeka. He continuing actively involved with civil privileges agitation nearly up to his loss of life.
