Adam Napier Robertson was created in Wellington, New Zealand, on 24 March, 1982. He began his career being a theater professional in Shakespeare productions, before getting cast in several local TV assignments in the first 2000’s. He started composing and directing brief movies in his early twenties, using the amount of money from his performing work to cover them, before composing and directing his initial feature film in ’09 2009, ‘I’m Not really Harry Jenson’, that was nominated for Greatest Feature Film at the brand new Zealand Film and Television Honours. In 2014 he composed and aimed his second feature film, ‘The Dark Equine’, starring Cliff Curtis and Adam Rolleston. It opened up the 2014 New Zealand International Film Celebration and premiered theatrically on July 31 throughout New Zealand, NZ Herald ranking it 5 superstars, the Country wide Radio Review declaring it “one of the better New Zealand movies available”. It premiered internationally at Toronto International Film Celebration 2014, Variety contacting it “remarkable..one of the most deserving cinematic export to emerge from New Zealand in years”. It had been released theatrically world-wide throughout 2015.
