The conductor Jascha Horenstein was created in Kiev. Horenstein’s mom was Austrian. In 1911, Horenstein’s family members transferred to Vienna in 1911. In Vienna, he examined with Franz Schreker (1878-1934) among others. Afterwards he transferred to Berlin and proved helpful as an helper to conductor Wilhelm Furtwängler. Through the 1920s Horenstein executed both Vienna Symphony Orchestra as well as the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
