Joan Sanderson was a favorite British tv and stage celebrity. During several periods at Stratford Upon Avon, she performed the assignments of Goneril in Ruler Lear, Constance in Ruler John, and Queen Margaret in Richard III. Within a season on the Aged Vic she made an appearance in The Mousetrap, and in 1981 finished her stage profession in the creation of “Anyone for Denis” on the Whitehall Theater in London’s Western world End.
