Pursuing in the footsteps of family, Samaras were only available in the film business at age 15, functioning his way up through the surveillance camera department. In 1986, he transferred to NEW YORK where he started doing work for BBC, PBS, HBO, and Liberty Studios. In preparation for Cinematography, Samaras studied ARTWORK Photography by focusing on portraits and tinkering with cross processing and colorizing. In the past due ’80s to the first ’90s, Samaras proved helpful as a Light Designer in a few of the greatest clubs in NEW YORK and in addition designed lighting for Off Broadway Theater, Opera, Mime, and Dance. He also arranged and presented visible multimedia shows regarding light, slides, lasers, and live performers in the powerful globe of rave music. In 1994 he moved to LA and signed up for the American Film Institute where he graduated having a Master’s level. He currently functions as a Cinematographer, surviving in Los Angeles along with his wife, Michelle and their child Elleni Zoe.
