American novelist and playwright John Thomas McIntyre was created in Philadelphia, PA, in 1871. After he graduated senior high school he got employment on the Philadelphia newspapers, “THE CHANGING TIMES”, writing tales for its Weekend edition. McIntyre collection his tales in the poorer parts of the city, plus they fulfilled with achievement. He got his 1st book released in 1902, “The Ragged Advantage”, that was essentially an expansion from the tales he was composing for the newspapers. He also started to create for the stage, and experienced several plays created on Broadway. In 1936 his book “Steps HEADING DOWN” was selected as the united states access in the All-Nations Reward Book Competition, and he received the $4,000 1st prize. He died in Philadelphia in 1951.
