Champ diver Elbert Alonzo Main was created on July 20, 1915 in Charleston, SC. Elbert gained a sterling silver medal within the 10 meter system event on the 1936 Olympic video games in Berlin, Germany. Main subsequently gained the Amateur Athletic Union high plank both in 1937 and 1938 before turning professional and touring the united states with Billy Rose’s Aquacade present. Moreover, Elbert offered in the Sea Corps during Globe Battle II after enlisting on January 27, 1943 and continued to do extra service within the Marines in the first 1950’s. Elbert passed away at age group 67 on July 15, 1983 in Boston, Massachusetts.
