In early senior high school, Jon began developing his filmmaking build. After gaining knowledge in directing, creating, camera, composing, and editing and enhancing, Jon finished the Film Base program on the Vancouver Film College. Jon’s first brief film Apt. 310 performed eleven film celebrations and garnered two honours for Best Brief Film. In 2004 Jon received a offer through the Ontario Arts Council to immediate the brief film The Various other Celia. He implemented this knowledge with the critically acclaimed brief film Still Lifestyle. Each film performed numerous celebrations and Jon was honored Best Movie director for both movies on the Malibu Film Celebration in 2006. Following the successes of his brief movies, Jon parlayed his knowledge into his initial feature film Jack port Brooks: Monster Slayer. The film obtained considerable attention through the entire celebration circuit and received rave testimonials. His second feature, The Shrine, premiered on the 2010 FanTasia Int’l Film Celebration and earned the Audience Prize for Greatest Canadian Feature.
