As a kid she studied at Seattle’s Cornish College. Still in her early twenties, after many years of share work in NY, she became a member of Eva Le Gallienne’s Civic Repertory Theatre where she earned critical praise on her behalf title part in “Alice in Wonderland.” She found Hollywood in 1934 under agreement with Warners, debuting in “Happiness Forward”. She co-starred with Paul Muni in “THE STORYPLOT of Louis Pasteur” (1936) and performed in many little tasks, both in movies – e.g., the phoney U.N. ambassador’s wife in North by Northwest (1959) – and tv (“Twilight Area, ” “Gunsmoke”, “Perry Mason”) in the ‘fifties and ‘sixties. She passed away at Manhattan’s Florence Nightingale Nursing House, aged 94.
