Philadelphia-based drummer Karl Chambers was employed by producer Don Kirshner to be the drummer for the group “Toomorrow” in 1970. The Monkees-style exploits of the group were converted to the film “Toomorrow” also released in 1970. This group and film are most widely known for offering Olivia Newton-John in her times prior to learning to be a well-known solo musician. Karl continuing his career being a Philly drummer through the entire 1970s, with such groupings as Archie Bell as well as the Drells and Gladys Knight as well as the Pips. He passed on from cancers on Feb 24, 2002 at age 55.
