Karl Slover was 21 years of age when he auditioned for the “Wizard Of Oz” film, and along the way met the additional 123 little people who have whom he worked through a grueling two month creation schedule. “Standing up four ft four inches high, I was the tiniest Munchkin,” recalls Karl. “I couldn’t actually reach the doorknob.” He’s best known to be the 1st trumpeter in the film but he also was among the Munchkin troops, the just sleepy head young man in the nest of Munchkin eggs, and, among the performers who led Dorothy down the yellowish brick road. He previously four parts total. After completing the “Wizard of Oz” he joined up with the “Initial World Famous Performers Midget Display” and sang and danced across America. He also made an appearance in several films. His advice to presenting a long existence–“Just do the very best you are able to. Enjoy everything you possess. Enjoy your geographical area. Primarily, keep in mind what Judy Garland stated in the film, There is no place like house.”
