Laima Vaikule is a favorite Latvian actress, vocalist, movie director and choreographer, most widely known in European countries and in the Ex – USSR for such popular strikes as “Vernisazh” and “Charley” among other music. She was created Laima Stanislavovna Vaikule on March 31, 1954, in Cesis, Latvian Republic, Soviet Union (now Cesis, Latvia). Her parents transferred to Riga when she was 3. Teen Laima Vaikule was keen on music and dance. In 1966, at age 12, she had taken part within a competition of youthful performers and was observed. From 1970 – 1973 she examined medical at Medical College in Riga, and was likely to become a physician. She also continuing singing using a music group. Ultimately she became a business lead singer with an area music group in Riga and proved helpful evening gigs at regional night clubs and restaurants for quite some time.
