American director and erstwhile actor. Originally a performer within the share and vaudeville circuits, specifically the Mittenthal Bros. circuit, he made an appearance along with his wife Josephine Foy within a vaudeville present entitled “The Inspector.” Seen in this present by manufacturer Thomas H. Ince, Sidney got into films in around 1913 being a performer and quickly was marketed to directing images. He included himself in creation being a minority owner from the Christie Film Firm. He attempted pension, but was coaxed back to directing by Syd Chaplin, whom he directed in Charley’s Aunt (1925). While going to London in 1928, he passed away at 56 of the heart attack.
