Mini Biography

American film and tv actor MacDonald Carey became well-known for his function as Dr. Tom Horton on NBC’s cleaning soap opera Times of Our Lives (1965). For three years he was the focused cast person in the show. His film job was through the 1940s-’60s, and he made an appearance mostly in second-features (aka “B” photographs). He became known in Hollywood as “The Ruler from the B’s” (very much like Lucille Ball, who was simply referred to as the “Queen of Bs”). He sometimes played second potential clients or helping parts in “A” images, such as for example his role being a detective looking into suspected serial killer Joseph Cotten in Alfred Hitchcock’s thriller Shadow of any doubt (1943). He also experienced a successful profession on Broadway and on radio. He was on “Times of Our Lives” from its inception in 1965 until his loss of life in 1994.
