Madeleine (known professionally while Madeline) Fairbanks was created on November 15, 1900, in NEW YORK. Along with her twin sister Marion Fairbanks, she started her acting profession around the stage, starring in such productions as “Claudia”, “The Prince Chap”, “Mary Jane’s Pa”, “The Piper”, “Snow White colored”, “The Blue Parrot” and countless others at the brand new Theater and the tiny Theater in NEW YORK. The twins 1st entered movies with Biograph around 1910, but because of Biograph’s plan of not exposing the titles of their players, they received small promotion. In 1912 they became a member of the Thanhouser Film Company (that was conveniently situated in New Rochelle, permitting them to commute every day from their house in NEW YORK), where these were billed as “The Thanhouser Twins”. Their 1st film at Thanhouser was (normally) The Twins (1912). They continuing to separate their time taken between stage and display and in 1917 became a member of the cast from the Ziegfeld Follies, where they continued to be for quite some time. In 1921, as the twins had been appearing in the George M. Cohan Theater in “Two GIRLS in Blue”, they authorized with Cosmopolitan Productions for parts in the upcoming film THE WONDER Shop (1922), to become released by Paramount. In 1923 Madeline announced she’d devote her time for you to the quest for serious dramatic functions, while her sister Marion would stay in musical revues. Madeline made an appearance in “Mercenary Mary”, “The Get Handbag” and “The Ritz Revue”, but by 1924 the twins had been eager to interact again plus they reunited for the stage creation of George White’s “Scandals”. In 1937 Madeline wedded Leonard Sherman plus they experienced one child, Kate. The few had been divorced in 1947. Madeline Fairbanks passed away on January 15, 1989, of respiratory failing at age 88.
