On June 30, 1947, Madge Meredith was convicted and sentenced to jail for 5 years alive for complicity within an assault of her former supervisor, Nicholas D. Gianaclis, and his bodyguard, Verne V. Davis. Gianaclis and Davis testified which were beaten, kidnapped, and robbed by several men because they neared Meredith’s house in the Hollywood Hillsides. In March 1951, the California Set up Interim Committee on Criminal offense and Corrections released an official record concluding that Meredith have been framed. The situation was managed sloppily in courtroom and inconsistent allegations from the perpetrators had been overlooked by law enforcement. In July 1951, Gov. Earl Warren commuted her phrase to time offered and released a declaration of disgust at how her trial have been managed. Mr. Gianaclis was discovered to possess set-up Miss Meredith to get possession of her house. Following her launch from Tehachapi, jail, the court purchased that Miss Meredith receive back again possession of her house from her accuser.
