He was created in Chihuahua, the administrative centre city of this northern Condition of Mexico, on Dec 23 (1928). He examined Spanish Literature on the Country wide Autonomous School of Mexico (UNAM) in the initial many years of the fifties. Afterwards, between 1954-1960, he visited Paris where he examined on the IDHEC (Institut des Hautes Etudes Cinematographiques. Back Mexico, he trained on the faculty of Politics Sciences (UNAM) and was creator, along with Carlos Velo, from the CCC (Centro de Estudios Cinematograficos). He composed three books: “Aspectos del cine frances” (French movie theater factors) 1964; “Un cine con un hombre contemporáneo” (Movie theater and contemporary guy, using a Carlos Fuentes foreword) 1962 and “Al pie de la imagen: criticas con ensayos”, 1968. Also, which posthumous reserve known as “Una nueva cultura de la imagen: ensayos sobre cine con tv”. This reserve contains several essays about movie theater and Television and was released in 1994. Manuel Michel acquired two sons, Hugo (1970) and Guillaume (1972). He passed away on January 7th 1983 in Mexico Town.
