Marcus Sim was created in Nova Scotia, Canada in 1981. He relocated along with his parents to Malaysia and was raised inside a working-class Chinese community in the condition of Sarawak. There he went to elementary and supplementary colleges and in 1997, relocated to English Columbia, Canada where he finished his supplementary education. Marcus then signed up for film, video and pictures studies in Capilano University, North Vancouver and took some film programs including Dov S – S Simens Hollywood Film College.
