Maria de Medeiros may be the oldest of three daughters from the pianist, maestro and composer António Vitorino D’Almeida and Maria Armanda Esteves. Her sisters are Inês de Medeiros, stage celebrity and film and stage movie director and Ana Medeiros, violinist, composer, and music instructor.
