Referred to as a “One Man Artwork Section” among people he’s caused, David spent some time working on a large number of Motion pictures & 800+ TV Advertisements (1980-2011) as a skill Director, Developer, Carpenter, Scenic Musician, Propmaker and Storyboard Musician. Combining his intensive production knowledge and sharp eyesight for style and information, he’s also an experienced Location Scout. Delivered in Seattle, his dad was a scientist and his mom a concert harpist. As a kid they resided in NY and Montclair, NJ, where his family members restored a vintage Victorian property. He went to the Baum Artwork Institue in Allentown, Pa, before shifting to LA. In the later 70s, he became an assistant to celebrated Artist, Designer & Architect Herbert Bayer, AIA, (1900-1985) who at that time was the last living person in the Bauhaus School of Design. His a friendly relationship with Bayer led to his functioning as a skill Consultant towards the Atlantic Richfield Company’s Commercial Art Collection, shown within their offices through the entire USA. While at ARCO, he supervised installing main artworks company-wide; created the world’s first data-entry inventory program for a skill Collection and photographed over 10,000 modern artworks in workplace buildings from LA to NY. Throughout a Christmas hiatus from ARCO in 1979-80,Roger Corman employed David to focus on Fight Beyond the Stars (1980) as an Assistant Art Director to James Cameron and Charles William Breen. Unable to sort out the complete production because of unexpected corporate and business responsibilities in NY and Denver, aswell as his commitment to Bayer, David reluctantly needed to leave the shoot during mid-production in January. Producing an experimental cartoon short resulted in his being approved into Cal Arts (Filmgraphics plan – experimental animation with coach Jules Engle). While at Cal Arts, David positioned an advertisement in American Cinematographer publication which led to are a free-lance Tale Board Artist. Sometimes, David returned to feature film production, however in order to have significantly more time along with his Family members, concentrated more on Television Commercials employed in various Artwork Division positions and his regular work as a spot Scout. In these capacities, David spent some time working on a huge selection of Commercials over time, from small places to large Super Dish Commercials, including many with MTV & Clio Award-winning Production Designer, Vance Lorenzini. During period not really spent in film creation, David explored Hawaii and became a high producing Real estate agent in Southern California. His extensive encounter negotiating and composing Real Estate agreements resulted in representing major workplace structures in the LA area, like the twin 51 tale ARCO Plaza Towers through the filming of Fun with Dick and Jane (2005) as well as the unprecedented usage of their professional offices in the 51st flooring; aswell as negotiating area agreements for Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005).
