Martie Seidel, given birth to Martha Elenor Erwin in York, Pa on Oct 12th 1969, started her musical profession prior to the Dixie Chicks were shaped in 1989. She started playing traditional violin at age group 5. As teenagers, Martie & her sister, Emily Robison, had been within a Bluegrass music group named “Blue Evening Express”. She’s 2 sisters – old sister Julia Erwin and youthful sister Emily Robison (who’s wedded to singer-songwriter Charlie Robison). Martie and Emily started the Dixie Chicks, along with previous associates Robin Lynn Macy (vocals, electric guitar) & Laura Lynch (vocals, bass) before current vocalist Natalie Maines became a member of in 1995. The existing Dixie Chicks lineup had been recently featured within a Television film, Dixie Chicks on the Take a flight (2000). It had been generally a concert display showcasing Martie, Emily & Natalie’s amazing vocal & instrumental abilities. Martie as well as the various other ‘Dixie Chicks’ possess 2 songs highlighted in the 1999 Julia Roberts/Richard Gere film Runaway Bride-to-be (1999).
